According to reports, the makers of the new animated flick have announced that it will be released across multiple countries in October 2022. It is rumoured that a lot of aspects like the title song and soundtrack will be available as part of OTA’s soon. The movie will be produced by PVR Films under its banner division PIX Entertainment Ltd. As per an announcement released by one of the companies, “the world's largest producer and exhibitor of animation PIX Entertainment Limited’s Hollywood arm has partnered with Golan Films and Japan Studio Chizuoka Co Ltd (JSC) for all distribution rights outside the U.S., including Canada, Europe and Latin America.” In an exclusive report by Variety, PVR Pictures director Jaymes Samuel had said that all elements from the movie will be made available to audiences by means of high definition 3D and DTS-HD content which will arrive as standard in the theatres in 2022. Along with this, there will be other special features of the film that would add a thrill to viewers.

A lot of details were not revealed about the sequel to One Piece Film: Red but we know that it will feature the return of key cast members and crew members who worked on the successful film. Some of them will include Yuka Kajihara, Yuji Okumoto, Maiko Hashimoto, Miki Yoshimura, Tetsuo Masuda, Daisuke Takahashi and Hiroyuki Saitama.
In December 2020, they announced their collaboration with Netflix for an original Japanese Original Animated film titled Ghost in the Shell Matrix: A Legacy Story, which is the first movie released after its launch in January 2021. The story is set at a futuristic Tokyo where humanity is trying to survive amidst a catastrophe known as 'The Tragically Unbalanced', a term coined by the protagonist as he struggles for survival. One Piece Film: Red Director Jaymes Samuel said that "the whole concept is built upon the events and themes of One Piece Film: Red; namely when humanity faces another threat, such as the growing presence of technology. While each situation brings something completely different, all the characters involved share the common goal of finding ways to save the Earth despite various difficulties.” This movie is expected to take place around 2030 when the United States was attacked.
It is expected to be a science fiction horror fantasy genre film. According to FilmyBiz, the plot revolves around Johnny Blaze, a man with psychic abilities and strength; his younger brother Tommy Blaze, a young boy with physical and mental disabilities; and Captain Arashio, a powerful supernatural being with superhuman powers. There are two films in the project called the Spirit World and the Soul World respectively.
